My Lazy Dog Restaurant Experience

One of my favorite things about still being new to Denver is getting out and about and experiencing new restaurants! This past weekend I decided to check out the Lazy Dog in Aurora. My first impressions walking to the restaurant were good. A cool environment, a sweet-looking bar, and I strangely liked the flannels the staff wore just to name a few things. A big thing that I noticed was the kitchen is visible! It's not hidden somewhere in the back. I thought this was great, there is something about seeing your food coming from a clean and busy kitchen that puts you at ease a little bit. My waitress Hailey, was super nice and informative. I mentioned to her that It was my first time here. Suddenly, management comes by with a complimentary appetizer because of that. Free food? can't beat a start like that... I ordered some buffalo chicken wings to start and they were nothing short of great. All the sauces made all the difference when it came to these wings. My main course was the St.Loius style ribs... Look I'm a sucker for some good BBQ ribs and honestly these did not disappoint. I couldn't finish them all so there are a few sitting in my fridge right now. Below are some photos of the food my lady and I ordered. I can definitely say that I'll be visiting Lazy Dog again. Cool environment, good service, and great food. What more do you want! Have you been here before? What's your go-to dish?! - JR
