How Do Americans Plan To Ring In 2025?

2025 is just days away, and some of us have plans to welcome baby new year, but what are the real numbers of people going out to party to celebrate New Years?

Only 5% of the 12-hundred people polled plan to go out to ring in 2025, and about two in 10 will be keeping it low-key at a friend or family member’s home. Unless you're like my wife and plan to be in the bath at 9 so she can relax. I don't think she's even seen the ball drop on NYE in about 5+ years. But you do you baby.

When I was waiting to get my haircut yesterday, the stylist was asking everyone their plans. There were a bunch of older men and women getting their hair cut and they all seemed to have the same answer. "I'm staying at home, no need for trouble for me."

Well 30% of those who are age 60 and older say they won’t be celebrating the start of 2025 at all. So proof is in the pudding I guess.

But not everyone is a pain in the butt when it comes to NYE Plans. Here's what the survey from the AP said.

  • Nearly 20% say they’ll be ringing in the New Year at a friend or family member’s home this year.
  • Only 5% are planning to go out to celebrate at a bar, restaurant or organized event.
  • While most folks are keeping it low-key, young people are more interested in a night out to welcome 2025. About 10% of adults under 30 plan to kick off the New Year at a bar or organized event.

There could be worse things to worry about then where are you going to be to ring in 2025. But at the least stay safe, don't drink and drive (or anything else) impaired driving is all bad. We want you to be safe and ready to kick 2025 in the ass!!
