If you live in Wyoming, you have the highest energy bills in the country!

The total monthly average cost is $1,591 in the Equality State. North Dakota is the second-highest at $840 per month. Energy is cheapest in New Mexico, where the average citizen can expect to pay $376 a month. Thanks to swamp coolers.

Other relatively cheaper states include Arizona, Texas, California, and Kansas. The WalletHub analysis took electricity, natural gas, motor fuel, and home heating oil prices into consideration.

How high has your bill been? I think mine was $600, so I feel your pain.
