It's time to open the windows, and let the stink of last year out. But where do you start?? Here are some easy hacks to help make spring cleaning a breeze.
De-Clutter First:
If you get rid of some of the stuff in your house, it's always going to be less to do. Less to wash, dust and wipe down, and this should be where you start. Open those dresser drawers and closets, and since style has changed, or you don't fit in the clothes you did at one time anymore.....get rid of them. We're not saying throw them away, you can always donate or recycle. But why hang onto the things you don't need anymore. Use the same thoughts with your pantries, shelves and other things that have taken over your house slowly.
Streamline Your Clean:
First things first. You need to make sure you're disinfecting high-traffic areas of your house. It doesn't need to be too crazy, but if you streamline the job by using products that are safe for use on a bunch of household surfaces, or even safe for use around the kids or pets.
So what can you use? Arm & Hammer Essentials Disinfecting Wipes (which have become our best friends over the last year.) Which kills cold and flu viruses, along with MRSA, Strep, Staph, E. Coli, Salmonella and Kleb. There are different scents that clean without harsh chemicals, and are safe for use on stainless steel, sealed granite, finished hardwood, tubs, shower walls, toilet exteriors and hard nonporous surfaces of car interiors. Use Household Items:
You know how you can tell your house is really clean? The smell. But unfortunately certain parts of your home have a odor build-up. So how do you shrink the stink? Baking soda. Put an opened box in your fridge to absorb unwanted smells, and swap it out every month or so. Do the same in your pantry or where you keep your food times like onions and garlic so you can take out those bad smells. You might also try using Arm & Hammer Garbage Disposal Cleaner, which are capsules containing baking soda, and it leaves behind a citrus scent, so take that stupid kitchen sink odors.
A few essentials and some smart cleaning is all you need to get a jump on this spring in your house.
