He says he wen't online and bought a ticket using number that are his family's birthdays, and he forgot to save the numbers as his favorites in the app. So he went back to set them up as favorites so he could play them in the future. Now he said repeating the process had a side effect he didn't even thing about.
He goes on to say that he didn't realize that it meant he would be buying a second ticket with the same numbers. But once he figured out, he was a little bummed buy didn't think much about it.
The mistake sucks, but let's be real. It was $1. But this time it paid off. He matched the five white balls drawn, 01-05-09-10-23 and it earned each ticket a $1-million prize
"I recently logged into the app to check on some tickets I had bought, and that is when I saw I had two $1-million prizes pending,” he offers. “Saying that I was stunned is an understatement. I couldn't believe it was real. It took several days for the reality to set in that my mistake had paid off to the tune of $2 million.”
So Samir now says his mistake is going to buy him a house and pay his bills off. Lucky!!
