Which Oklahoma Burgers Made The Top 101 Best Burgers In America

The Daily Meal made a list of the The 101 Best Burgers in America, which made us super hungry and want to buy an RV, hit the road, and TRY THEM ALL! Luckily there are two on the list in the Oklahoma City area. I'm sure these are familiar with "the locals" but have you tried these burgers? If not you probably should knock 'em off the Burger Bucket List very soon.

#74 Onion Fried Burger, Sid’s Diner (El Reno, Oklahoma)

According to The Daily Meal's review Sid's Diner is "friendly, no-frills" and "all about the onion-fried burger." Thanks pejophoto for your mouthwatering Insta pic. The Daily Meal describes the Sids experience at "sit at the counter and watch the magic happen: Chef and owner Sid Hall (or his brother, Bob), takes a ball of fresh-ground beef, places it on a ripping-hot griddle, and smashes it down along with a handful of thin-sliced white onions. The onions fuse into the meat as it cooks, and the end result is all crust and fried onions. Make it a double, and you get twice as much. No ketchup, no lettuce, no tomato — just meat and onions on a soft bun, the perfect interpretation of this Oklahoma regional specialty."

#39 Cheeseburger, Nic’s Grill (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)

I've waited in line several times for the delish cheeseburger at Nic's Grill. So yummy and fresh dining in. And I've also found if you get it to go, and let the grease and juices bond together for a bit, even better. The Daily Meal describes the Nic's experience like this: "Grab a seat at the counter in the diminutive Nic's Grill, joining the hordes of other pilgrims who line up here daily, and watch chef/owner Justin “Nic” Nicholas work his burger magic. He forms passive patties by hand and sears them on a hot griddle, and if you order yours (as encouraged) “with cheese and everything” it’ll be served with plenty of cheese, griddled onions, pickles, mustard, mayo and ketchup on a perfectly steamed bun." I'm sold, but I was already sold by vikingashley's Instagram pic above.

Thanks "The Daily Meal" for the Oklahoma love. Ready to road trip and try the other 99 burgers on the list? See the complete list HERE.
