David Schwimmer has responded to reports that police in Blackpool, England are hunting for a suspect who “looks like Ross from Friends." On Wednesday, the police force released an image of an alleged thief and people couldn’t help but notice the suspect looked just like Schwimmer’s character. The photo was flooded with comments, with many quoting phrases from the sitcom. The police later confirmed that Schwimmer was actually in America at the time. Schwimmer himself also posted on Twitter, he wrote: “Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation. #itwasntme.” The tweet included video of the actor recreating the original image, carrying a crate of beer and conspicuously looking at the camera.
