Saving money as a millennial sounds kind of ridiculous. I mean, how can you be just out of school, starting a low income job, paying bills/loans/rent, and ALSO have time to save money on top of all of that? Not only that, but you want to have a little fun money in your back pocket, too right? But there are cities you can go to that will help you save. Here’s the breakdown:
- Kansas City, MO
- Cincinnati, OH
- Memphis, TN
- Columbus, OH
- Louis, MO
- Baltimore, MD
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Indianapolis, IN
- Raleigh, NC
- Oklahoma City, OK
What gives? It all has to do with the cost of living and average salaries. There are also all sorts of fun things like taxes and the price of “essentials.” To really get yourself saving, put aside a few thousand dollars in an emergency fund. And get packin’, because it might be time to move to one of these cities.
