Mark Ronson has settled another lawsuit over his hit “Uptown Funk,” featuring Bruno Mars. The latest settlment is for a suit filed last fall by Lastrada Entertainment, who claimed the hit sounds similar to a 1980s tune, “More Bounce to the Ounce,” by the their client Zapp & Roger.
Details of the settlement were not released, but Lastrada was originally seeking damages and an injunction to keep Ronson from being able to perform the song in concert.
This isn’t the first suit Mark has settled over “Uptown Funk.” Over the past few years, three suits have been filed over the song, and earlier this year Ronson settled one brought by the Minneapolis band Collage.
