Looks like Cardi B and Offset did it the old-fashioned way after all – love, marriage, and then baby carriage. Apparently the two have been married for almost a year. The marriage certificate lists the date as September 20th, 2017.
According to an insider, Offset woke up one day, looked at Cardi, and said, “Marry me.” Instead of announcing the news to their friends and family, they decided to tie the knot right away. They allegedly hired an officiant to come to the house and marry them that day. Cardi’s cousin witnessed the ceremony, which took place in their bedroom. For the record, she was NOT pregnant at that time.
This means that when Offset staged that public engagement in October, he and Cardi had already been married a month. The insider said that it wasn’t actually a proposal. It was him keeping his promise to get her a ring. Oh, and he’s supposed to get his ring and wear it after their official wedding ceremony, which will take place once their baby is born.
