ABC is moving ahead with a Roseanne spinoff, and the former star has reportedly agreed not to stand in the way. The network and producer Carsey-Werner don't want Barr participating in the proposed spinoff in any way, and Barr, who's credited with helping create the show's characters, has tentatively agreed to waive her rights in order to let the show proceed without her. One source says the negotiations are now focusing on how much "go-away money" she will receive. The rumored spinoff is expected to focus on Darlene, played by Sara Gilbert, who was also an executive producer in the show's comeback season. The crew and cast members, including John Goodman, are believed to be on board for the proposed spinoff. For now, ABC is staying quiet about plans for the show's time slot this fall.
