You ready to get out of the house and just go somewhere....like anywhere? I know I am. So where we going? They're saying people are ready to get out of their houses and travel. But how many?
171 million passengers expected between March 1st and April 30th, according to Airlines for America.
That's a 4% jump since last year, which means 2.8.million people will be getting out and going somewhere. Airlines are responding by adding routs and capacity, operating 26,000 daily flights with 3.5 million available seats. However, security concerns about Mexico cartel violence have shifted some tourists toward Caribbean alternatives like the Dominican Republic. Key West leads domestic destination searches.
So if you're looking for a getaway this spring break...join the club. Lots of people clearly have the same idea to get out and go.
