You've always thought it because of ads being served to your devices, but it turns out that you were correct. Google was listening to you, and now you can get paid because of it.
Google has agreed to pay $68 million to settle a class action lawsuit accusing its voice assistant of recording users without consent and sharing private conversations with advertisers. That's a big no no in a lot of our books. So what does this mean for us and how do we get paid?
The settlement will have a $68 million fund to cover consumer claims, legal fees, and other costs. Consumers may file claims for up to three devices.
