Pete Davidson has great inspiration on how to be a good dad and "wonderful person" thanks to his close friend mgk.
The Saturday Night Live alum recently honored mgk, whose real name is Colson Baker, while presenting him with the Style Icon Award at the Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards in New York City, per People. Saying, "I f---ing love his dude," Davidson heaped praise on his longtime pal for not just his talents but for who he is as a person.
"Colson is, I think, my oldest best friend in this tough biz," he said. "Pound for pound I think he's maybe the most talented person I have ever met. He can rap, he can play guitar, he can rock, he can act."
Davidson continued, "He always leads by example... and I am really grateful that I have someone that I can call just to shoot the s--- or talk about what the hell is going on in our careers or how the world works. He's just a wonderful person and so resilient. He's been around for two decades and he is 35. That's a crazy accomplishment. And he's not going anywhere."
The King of Staten Island actor also praised his friend for being a "great dad." The Lost Americana musician is a father to daughter Casie, 16, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon, as well as 5-month-old daughter Saga Blade, whom he welcomed with Megan Fox in March.
The comedian has previously praised mgk's skills as a dad, explaining how "beautiful" it is to see his friend be such a dedicated father. With a role model like that, Davidson can draw inspiration while preparing to become a dad himself as he and girlfriend Elsie Hewitt are currently expecting their first child together. He is reportedly very "excited" about this new chapter in his life and has even shared how being a father is one of his life's dreams.
