Khloe Kardashian is giving therapy another shot after previously getting burned by a breach in privacy.

In a new interview with Bustle published Tuesday (December 3), the Good American co-founder revealed that, after encouragement from her sister Kim Kardashian, she has started going to therapy again after a "jarring" experience years ago. She claimed that "private information" was leaked to tabloids after she spoke to a therapist in 2013 after separating from her now ex-husband Lamar Odom, per People.

"I was going to therapy and the next thing I knew, something private I told my therapist was on a tabloid," she said. "And I knew that my therapist disclosed this information to a tabloid because there's no way this could have gotten out there."

She added, "It was very jarring and sort of unbelievable, but there's not a chance in the world that it came from anywhere else."

Kardashian said the experience turned her off from therapy because she could no longer trust that her personal information and vulnerable feelings were safe and confidential. Instead, she started spending more time in the gym as a form of "release" as it was where she "felt the safest."

"I stopped going to therapy and started going to the gym," she said. "I needed the release, but I did not trust anybody else anymore."

The Kardashians star began seeing the same therapist as her sister once she turned 39 after and all seems to be going well, adding that she "really [likes] her."

"I was like, 'Wow, OK, this is good. I needed this.' And my therapist was like, 'I think you should come three days a week,'" Kardashian said. "She was like, 'You really need to be here.' It all worked out."
