This isn't good. As if Ticketmaster wasn't already facing a PR nightmare it just got a lot worse.
The company issued the following statement on Thursday:
"Due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand, tomorrow's public on-sale for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour has been cancelled."
Fans are obviously not happy as you can imagine with many taking to social media to voice their opinion. This isn't the first time a concert has sold out during the pre-sale either. It's happened to BTS fans for a while now (including me personally). I recall when my daughter first asked to attend a concert thinking I could easily buy tickets during the public on-sale and learned very quickly that trying to buy tickets for a BTS concert was like competing in the Hunger Games. Shows would sell-out during the pre-sale because the demand was so high. When I did finally get tickets to a show I seriously felt like I won the greatest eBay auction of all time. I was on such a high from trying to score them I felt like I won the lottery because I basically did, just it was the BTS army (no pun intended).
PS - We'll be giving away free tickets on KJ103 very soon so make sure you follow us below on your favorite socials to find out when that starts before we announce it on-air.
