Bad news for Taco Bell fans who haven't had the Mexican Pizza yet! What started out as stores across Oklahoma City and the US selling out of the returning menu item has turned into the item being pulled from menus until further notice. Yep, Taco Bell sent a letter to it's restaurants this week that was shared to Reddit stating "because of the incredible love for Mexican Pizza, we have begun selling out across the country." The letter goes on to say "The Mexican Pizza will return later this year; you'll hear more from us as that date approaches"
It looks like Taco Bell either didn't realize how popular this would be or they are trying to create even more hype and demand and do what McDonald's does with the McRib hyping it up throughout the year when it suddenly returns. There was a great "The Food Theorists" YouTube video on that by the way which is worth checking out. I wouldn't be surprised if that is what Taco Bell is doing here. Marketing Marketing Marketing!
