Tulsa Police Locate Stolen Vintage Ford Mustang Worth $200K

This afternoon, Tulsa Police Department Auto Theft Detectives recovered the 1967 Shelby Mustang GT-500 that was stolen from the Pearl District outside of downtown earlier this month.

Tulsa Police posted the following update along with pictures of the recovered car on social media:

The GT-500 was covered with brush and cardboard boxes, and located in a very rural area near Mounds.

The vehicle is in tact, but the hood, doors, and front fender were all removed. The engine is in tact, but the car has a lot of damage.

Auto Theft Detectives also found a stolen dump truck and a stolen sedan on the same property.

Tips from the public and interviews led detectives to this area, where an aerial search was conducted that led to us finding the stolen Mustang.

Earlier this week, we told you we arrested Nicholas Chamberlin Larceny of an Automobile and 2nd Degree Burglary. Charges have now been filed for Toni Morris and Roy Morris, who were also involved.

The investigation is ongoing, and we expect more arrests/charges filed in this case.

The car will be returned to its owner.
