Nicole Richie celebrated her 40th birthday on Tuesday during an outdoor get together. Things got interesting when she leaned in to blow out the candles on her birthday cake and managed to catch her hair on fire. Someone next to her batted out the flames.
The moment was captured on video and then shared to her Instagram afterwards with her saying "Well… so far 40 is 🔥". Nicole's husband (Joel Madden) joked in the comments saying "that's hot".
