TV Pilot Jim Gardner Posts Message After Viewers Upset At Protest Comments

It was a talk across social media over the weekend. Jim Gardner made some comments while covering the protests in OKC on a Facebook live feed for a local TV station that he works for. Many watching were quick to comment about them and he's now addressing those comments.

He posted the following on his Facebook page today apologizing saying he never intended to hurt people:

"I understand that some of the comments I made during our protest coverage have hurt people. That was never my intention.

I’m sorry and I sure wish I would have said things differently. I can and will do better. I certainly did not mean to hurt anyone with my comments.

I’m always looking for ways to improve and I’ve learned from this. I’m so proud of the folks who are peacefully protesting and of our great team at News 9 who are working so hard."
