'Tiger King' Star Joe Exotic Files $94 Million Dollar Lawsuit From Prison

Joe Exotic aka Joseph Maldonado-Passage who is part of the current NetFlix docuseries obsession everyone can't stop talking about called Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness has just filed a massive lawsuit from behind bars in prison. Joe Exotic ran the Greater Wynwood Exotic Park in Wynwood, Oklahoma. If you're an Oklahoman you've probably been to the park. Everyone seems to have a Joe Exotic story to share.

In September 2018, Joe Exotic was arrested and indicted by the FBI for attempting to hire a hitman to murder Carole Baskin, CEO of the Tampa animal sanctuary called Big Cat Rescue. Joe was eventually convicted of two counts of murder-for-hire, eight violations of the Lacey Act and nine of the Endangered Species Act. He was then sentenced to 22 years in federal prison this past January.

According to TMZ "the eccentric, wild and captivating convict tiger breeder featured in the wildly popular Netflix docuseries 'Tiger King' -- is suing from prison ... claiming a huge conspiracy behind him being locked up, and it led to the death of his mom."

According to the lawsuit, Joe Exotic claims the docuseries is "stealing my property and promoting an animal rights agenda." He wants $78,840,000 for the loss of his personal property and 18 years' worth of his work with tigers for this.

He's also going after other people who involved in the case like his former business partner (Jeff Lowe). Joe claims that Jeff lied to the feds and planted evidence against him, according to TMZ. "He accuses another former colleague of being an informant and claims the sum of all this contributed to the passing of his mother, Shirley." The article states that Joe is asking for additional $15 Million Dollars for this.
