It's the worst thing that can happen at McDonald's. You decide 'I'm gonna splurge get a McFlurry or Hot Fudge Sundae' and the employee goes 'I'm sorry, our ice cream machine is broken'. The ice cream machines being broken at McDonald's has become an internet meme.
People reports that McDonald's may have a solution though! McDonald's has teamed up with a company called Kytch, which developed technology that can help employees manage the machines by correcting mechanical issues caused by human error and making sure the automated cleaning cycle happens on time.
There's no word on if any of their locations are actually using the devices yet though.
