Carrie Underwood Being Sued Over Her Hit "Something In The Water"

A pair of Canadian songwriters claim they composed a song in 2012 titled “Something in the Water” that they sent to Carrie Underwood to see if she’d cut it but they didn’t hear back.

Now those songwriters have filed a lawsuit saying her hit song of the same name is “structurally and lyrically identical, and substantially  similar melodically” to their song, according to the Tennessean.  Underwood has not issued a statement regarding the lawsuit or the songwriters’ claims.
