We asked and you answered! Here are your 15 dates under $20!
1 - Take your sweetie to the Drive-In. 2 tickets for $14 and that leaves $6 for snacks. Sounds like a plan for me. Check out show times and info here for Winchester Drive-In Theater!
2 - Test drive your dream car. For my husband it might be hard to narrow down to just one! To make this an even cheaper date find a Car Dealership with gourmet coffee. This date is FREE! (Just remind yourself that this is for fun. Don't finance anything!!!)
3 - Food trucks and Kite Flying. Every Friday during the warmer months The Station in Moore brings out food trucks from 11am to 2pm . Stop by for lunch and then fly your kite in the open field. It's a great outing for under $20!
4 - Take a ride on a Ferris Wheel. Head to Wheeler Park and hop on the Ferris Wheel. A single ride is only $6. Ride the Ferris Wheel then hang out in the hammocks and play a game of checkers. Get more info here.
5 - Visit Open Houses in your dream neighborhood. We all have that one neighborhood that we long to live in. Take your sweetie on a dream date and stroll thru Open Houses. Sometimes it's just fun to look at other peoples houses. Find open houses on Zillow.
6 - Bring out your inner artist. You don't have to be artistic to enjoy this date. First stop...Dollar Tree to grab a drawing pad and pencils. Second Stop....the park. Pick an item to draw or draw each other then you can laugh at your glorified stick figures.
7 - Visit a movie in the park. The Myriad Gardens is the perfect spot to catch an outdoor summer movie for free. Take a blanket and some popcorn and you're set. Get a list of 2017 shows here.
8 - Pick your own dinner. Farmers Markets can be a lot of fun and almost every city has their own. Talk to the Farmers, learn how to pick the best items, take them home and cook up a new creation.
9 - Take a picnic to the OKC Zoo. I'm sure you went as a kid but how long has it been since you strolled the OKC Zoo on a date? Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a day with the animals. Tickets are only $8 for adults. Plan your visit here.
10 - Take me out to the Ballgame! Did you know you can buy a general admission ticket to see the OKC Dodgers play ball for only $8. Go on a Thursday night and drinks (including beer) are only $2. That's a win, win!
11 - Check out the arts. Friday nights are a great time to check out local artist and entertainers. Here are a few to check out...First Friday Gallery Walk in the Paseo, 2nd Friday Circuit of Art in Norman, Live on the Plaza every second Friday of the month in the Plaza District and 3rd Friday Block Party in Shawnee.
12 - Enjoy Happy Hour at a fancy restaurant. Food and drinks are cheaper during Happy Hour. Save a buck and get 1/2 drinks, 1/2 appetizers and more. Check out the list here.
13 - Sam's Club and Redbox. You better believe it! Sam's Club is always on the list. Not only can you make your way thru all the samples but you can also grab a hot dog and drink for under $2.00. (PS...if you don't have a membership just tell them you're going to the pharmacy.)
14 - Volunteer and Coffee. When was the last time you did something for someone else? It's a great way to make an impression! Head to a Rock N Box with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and then stop off for coffee. You might just find a new passion.
15 - Geocache. Have you ever went on a Geocache adventure? Download the app and see what treasures await. You use the app to navigate to a destination where there will be a hidden box full of small treasures.
