Cardi B is standing up for the father of her newborn child, Stefon Diggs, after he was accused of hitting and strangling his former chef.

On Monday, January 5, the "Bodega Baddie" took to X and alleged the woman, who worked for the NFL star as his personal chef, never told her anything about being assaulted by Diggs. In her post, she included a screenshot of an alleged text message from the woman. The entire context of the conversation wasn't revealed, but Cardi is "confident" that her man is innocent.

"Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched.. NOT ONCE!!," Cardi wrote.

"Mind you, we was talking every single day until she left that house and she JUST wrote me this," she continued," but I’m gonna let the courts handle s**t and when it gets handled I want all yall talkin s**t on your f**kin knees with apologies just as loud the way yall been harassing over a lie… and I put that on my two month old son in the name of the lord!! That’s how confident I am."

In the suit, the former live-in employee claimed the New England Patriots wide receiver slapped her and tried to choke her over a dispute over her salary. According to TMZ, the altercation reportedly happened on December 2 after Diggs entered the woman's unlocked bedroom to talk about a text conversation about her pay. The woman claimed Diggs became angry during their conversation and allegedly slapped her in the face. After she tried to push him away, Diggs allegedly "tried to choke her using the crook of his elbow around her neck." The woman also claimed she got a voicemail and text messages from someone the woman believed was Diggs' girlfriend, who told her not to make the situation a big deal. The lawsuit doesn't specify if it was Cardi B.

Later that month, the woman spoke to police about the situation and decided to move forward with charges on December 23. Diggs was charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery. Cardi B's statement matches up with Stefon Diggs' lawyers, who vehemently denied the allegations listed in a lawsuit filed last month.

"The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: they are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee's satisfaction," Diggs' attorney David Meier said in a statement. "Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in a court of law."
