The holidays are coming up quickly, and food costs can make or break a celebration.

Food costs are higher than a year ago. But how much?

How expensive have things got? Food prices are up 1.3% from September 2023 to September 2024

Some food staples saw bigger price increases. The cost of eggs rose from $2.06 per dozen to $3.82, an increase of 85%!!!

Tomatoes, beef and whole milk are all up in prices. But there is a bright side. Some foods are cheaper than they were last year like potatoes, cheese and bananas.

My dad told me "it will all work out." and it seems to, but it stings when you're living in it and waiting for the good times to come back
