Here's When 'Schitt's Creek' Season 5 Will Drop On Netflix

If somebody told you that you'd have to wait a long time for Schitt's Creek season five to drop on Netflix, there's really only one way to respond: ew, David! Thankfully, though, the hilarious dramedy about the displaced Rose family will be ready for binge-watching sooner than you thought. David, Alexis, Moira and Johnny will be back on Netflix in October.

Fans have been waiting so long for news of the return of Schitt's Creek and now we finally have the answer. Netflix shared the great news on Twitter, writing "season 5 is coming to Netflix US on October 10! Great news for bebe." Who else read that last line in Moira's unique, um, accent?

Though Schitt's Creek started out as an under-the-radar hit for Canda's Pop TV, the show found a large, devoted American audience after Netflix secured the streaming rights. As Schitt's Creek prepares to release its sixth and final season on Pop TV in January, the cast and crew were rewarded with their first, much deserved Emmy nominations. The show was nominated for Best Comedy Series, Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Eugene Levy, Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Catherine O'Hara, and Best Contemporary Costumes category. These four nominations are the first in the history of Pop TV, which is now owned by CBS Corporation.

“The momentum going into the final season of Schitt’s Creek couldn’t be more amazing and what a way to celebrate six years of groundbreaking, critically acclaimed, fan adored work,” Pop TV President Brad Schwartz said in a statement after the nominations were announced. “The support of this series, driven by one of the most loyal and passionate fan bases on television, has clearly captured the attention of the Industry and we’re thrilled that the entire Schitt’s Creek team is being recognized in this way.”

Are you excited for the next two seasons of Schitt's Creek? If you haven't watched yet, what are you waiting for? Seasons one through four are currently streaming on Netflix. Let's go, bebes!
