Monday’s episode of “American Idol” will have the contestants performing duets with several artists including Luis Fonsi, Train’s Pat Monahan, Andy Grammer and Aloe Blacc.
Grammer says it’s “humbling” to be able to be a mentor to contestants on the show, adding that it’s “fun to be around” all the artists. Meanwhile Monahan says the kids on the show are “amazing” and says if he were to give them any advice it would be “at any cost be yourself.”
Fonsi, who’ll of be performing “Despacito” with Brandon as well as Bonnie Ratt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” with Michelle, says he’s “super excited” to be on the show, noting that he’s a “big fan” of the program, while Blacc will sing “Wake Me Up” with Dominque, who he’s very impressed with. Aloe says Dominque has “total control” of his voice, noting that he “oozes enthusiasm.”
