Britney Spears Wants Dad To Make Child Support Issues Go Away

Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline is seeking an increase in his $20,000-a-month child support, and “Us Weekly” says Brit is desperate to have the whole thing go away. “Britney has emphasized to her father she wants this settled,” an insider tells the mag. “She doesn’t want it lingering because it only creates stress.”

According to the mag, K-Fed’s attorneys met with Jamie Spears earlier this month trying to “mutually” agree to an increase. “All Kevin wants to be able to do is provide the same standard of living the boys have when they with Britney,” the source offers. “Sean and Jayden’s needs are of course changing since they are getting older, which is a major factor in the decision to seek the increase.”

And while the singer was said to be “angry” about her ex’s request for more dough, it sounds like they may be close to a deal. The insider adds, “Both sides came away hopeful and optimistic that an agreement can be reached out of court.”
