Miley Cyrus Is Being Sued Over "We Can't Stop"

A Jamaican singer named Flourgon filed a 300 million-dollar lawsuit against the pop star over her track, "We Can't Stop," claiming she borrowed from one of his own songs to make it. Flourgon does not argue that Cyrus stole a specific line or the music from the song, but that she based the theme of "We Can't Stop" off his "unique and creative lyrical phraseology in order to establish an overarching and pervasive theme ... in the realm of self-discovery and self-governings."

In addition to money for damages and attorney fees, he wants her to stop performing the track and making money off of it. For the record? Flourgon's song never charted in the U.S., and it came out 4 years before Miley was born.
