Nick Gordon, 29, was arrested on a domestic violence charge in Florida on Saturday. He told police his girlfriend, Laura Leal, attacked him by throwing a bottle and tearing his shirt. She claims he struck her in the face multiple times while driving him home from a bar. He also reportedly tried to crash the car she was driving. Despite visible marks, Leal refused to press charges. In June 2017, Gordon was arrested on similar charges after Leal accused him of assaulting her and refusing to let her leave his home. Gordon dated Brown and Whitney Houston’s only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was found face down in a bathtub in January 2015 and remained in a coma until her death six months later at 22. Nick was found responsible for her death in a 2016 wrongful death suit in which he must pay $36 million.
