Disney And Sandra Bullock Both Donate $1M To Victims

Sandra Bullock made a $1 million donation to the American Red Cross to help in the Hurricane Harvey relief effort on the Gulf Coast in Texas. “I’m just grateful I can do it. We have to take care of one another,” Bullock, who owns a home in Austin, said in a brief statement. At about the same time, Disney chairman and CEO Robert A. Iger announced that the company was also donating $1 million to the Red Cross for relief efforts. Disney will then be matching donations for their employees to the Red Cross or other qualified charities going towards hurricane relief. Some of the other celebrities who have joined forces to help in the Hurricane Harvey relief include the Kardashian-Jenner family, who donated a collective $500,000, as well as Kevin Hart who started the Hurricane Harvey Relief Challenge.
