A Fan Sues Gwen Stefani For Accident At A Concert

Gwen Stefani has been sued for negligence by a fan who says she broke her tibia at a July 2016 concert after Stefani incited a "stampede rush" in the crowd. Lisa Stricklin, who attended the star's show at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking $75,000 in damages from both Stefani and Live Nation. Stricklin alleges her injury stemmed from Stefani's encouraging fans seated in the lawn section to "Just fill in anywhere you like! Who cares about your lawn chairs? You can get new ones!" Stricklin, who had a ticket in the reserved seating area, says she was then "trampled" by a rush of people and thrown into a wall. According to the lawsuit, Stefani, even admitted her wrongdoing later in the night when she told the crowd, "I got in so much trouble for telling you guys to come up here!"
