Katy Perry Talks About Her Mental Health And Taylor Swift

Katy Perry’s sat down with “Today’s” Natalie Morales during her 96-hour YouTube livestream, and she elaborated on her comments from over the weekend about having suicidal thoughts.

Katy admits that she sort of created a character of “Katy Perry” because, “for a long time, I didn't feel like old Katheryn Hudson from Santa Barbara was anything special," noting that her character has “done really well."

As for those low points, Katy says, "It's not just been a one time that I've felt really low,” explaining, “I have my own addictions that I struggle with, whether that's love or substance or things like that, and it's up and down. Or, even just attention, you know? I get so much attention and that can become addiction."

Katy also talked, yet again, about her feud with Taylor Swift, denying that her latest single “Swish Swish,” was about Tay. “No, it's not about anyone in particular and I've said that on the record,” Katy shared. Natalie continued to try and press her, even mentioning Taylor by name, to which Katy replied, "That might be your story, but my story, which I know is true for me, is that I've had not just one person bully me or one person hold me down or met one troll. All I need to say to her is I love her, and God bless her on her journey. And that's it."
