Harry Styles Addresses Manchester Attack At Mexico Show

Harry Styles is from Manchester, so it’s no surprise this week’s attack has hit him hard. The singer actually stopped his recent concert in Mexico City to address the incident, which he says has left him “with a hole in [his] heart.”

"When I booked this show, I wanted to celebrate with you guys. I've played some of my favorite shows in Mexico, and it felt right to come and celebrate with you, but tonight doesn't feel like a night to celebrate,” he said. “Last night, there was a tragedy in my hometown of Manchester, and I have been left with a hole in my heart."

Harry continued, “I went to my first show in the arena, and I've had some of the best experiences of my life playing in Manchester,” adding, “We have a choice, every single day that we wake up, of what we can put into the world, and I ask you to please choose love every single day.”

Instead of a full show, Harry played a small acoustic set for fans and promised he would be back in Mexico City in the future for another gig. He also asked the audience to join him in a moment of silence for the victims and their families. “Thank you for understanding,” he said. “I love you very much."
