The Chainsmokers Crash A Prom, And Yours Could Be Next

When you go to the prom you’re lucky if they have a good DJ or band, but one group of high schoolers just outside of Chicago wound up with two DJs, two superstar DJs to be exact. The Chainsmokers surprised students from Huntley High School by showing up to their prom at a Hyatt Regency hotel, tweeting, “Crashed this prom just now. It was across the street from our arena show, so why not :).”

Turns out the prom was actually about two and a half miles from the EDM duo’s show at Allstate Arena, and while it was a surprise to students, their appearance had been in the works for about two weeks. Principal Scott Rowe says he got a call from someone who works with The Chainsmokers to discuss the appearance. He notes, "It was probably the toughest secret I've ever kept, because I knew the kids were going to go crazy for it."

And it looks as though The Chainsmokers stint as prom DJs may just be beginning. They tweeted, "Your prom could be next.”
