ADELE Speaks Truth About The Grammys

Adele took time out of her Album of the Year GRAMMY speech to give a massive shout out to Beyoncé, who she thought deserved the award. Well, backstage she explained to reporters why exactly she felt Bey was robbed.

“My album of the year is 'Lemonade,'” Adele shared. “I felt like it was her time to win. My view is what the f— does she have to do to win Album of the Year? That’s also how I feel.”

Adele went on to say that she thought Bey's "Lemonade" “was a different side of her that we haven’t seen." "I felt blessed to be brought into that situation," she added. "Obviously the visual is very new and the Grammys are very traditional, but I thought this would be the year they went with the tides.”

Just how much did Adele think Bey deserved the award? Well, she actually broke the trophy in half, some suggesting it was to give Bey part of it,  although we're not sure it was totally on purpose.

ONE MORE THING! Adele told reporters she was “devastated” by her mishap during her performance of “Fastlove,” which was a tribute to George Michael. Adele called Michael “one of the truest icons” and noted that the day after the singer’s death she told her partner she wanted to perform the tribute. "They didn't want a tribute at first, his family and camp," she explained. "They came back and were very specific that it had to be me. And I was like, 'Great, I got something in the pipeline. I'll do it.'" “Fastlove” was one of the first memories Adele has of Michael, having heard it when she was ten.
