Lady Gaga will be getting quite an introduction before she hits the stage for the Super Bowl Halftime show. Pepsi has confirmed that Gaga’s friend, and sometime singing partner, Tony Bennett will be doing the honors before Gaga’s performance it at Houston’s NRG Stadium.
“In the 10 seconds before the Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show, the brand will countdown to Lady Gaga’s epic performance with an unforgettable lead-in featuring legendary singer Tony Bennett,” Pepsi said in a statement.
Of course, Gaga and Tony have worked together often in the past. In 2011 Gaga appeared on Tony’s “Duets II” album and in 2014 they collaborated on the jazz record “Cheek to Cheek.”
Super Bowl LI (51) airs Sunday, February 5th on Fox.
