Selena Gomez recently entered a mental health facility after suffering an emotional breakdown, and some insiders insist Justin Bieber’s marriage played a bit of a role in that.
“Justin Bieber’s engagement would undoubtedly have an effect on her,” a source says. “Selena has had a lot on her plate — too much. And, of course, as with any major life event” the engagement would have bothered her.
But the source insists Justin wasn’t the main reason that caused her to seek help. “Selena also has a major medical condition with Lupus,” they said, “and her transplant, which always is a complicating factor.”
As for how long Selena will be in treatment, the source says her stay is “open ended.”
