Kids In Colorado Return A Wallet With $700 in It

When we hear stories about surveillance video from a doorbell camera, it’s usually because someone’s done something wrong. But this time it captured kids in Aurora, Colorado doing the right thing.

While riding their bikes, 13-year-old Haylie Wenke, her six-year-old brother, Reagan, and a friend found a wallet in a driveway. Instead of taking it or even just leaving it and continuing on their ride, the trio returned the wallet, which had $700 cash inside.

“We found your wallet outside of your car and we just thought we would give it back to you,” Haylie says in the video. “I’m going to put it over here so no one takes the money.”

The homeowner shared the video so he could track down the honest kids and thank them. He was able to find Haylie’s mom and thank the kids for returning the cash.
