The Standard Hotel has fired the employee who recorded a security video of Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles, attacking Jay Z in the hotel's elevator. The employee, who is not being named, was fired for "breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video," the New York City hotel said. "We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests," the hotel said in statement. "We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity." The tape was reportedly sold for $250,000 after "being shopped for five days to the highest bidder."
