Even though Jrod's best score is 11, this still makes us sad :(
'Flappy Bird', the enormously addictive game that has already been downloaded millions of times, was pulled from app stores yesterday after its creator said it had ruined his "simple life." The game no longer appears in Apple's App Store, where it topped the free app charts last week. Go look for yourself. We just did yes, it's gone...again, sad face:(
Creator Dong Nguyen tweeted a warning on Saturday that the game would be grounded: "I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore." He added: "It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore." During an interview last week, Nguyen said "Flappy Bird" was raking in $50,000 a day in revenue from in-app advertisements. According to his Twitter, it seems Nguyen had no idea his game would be a soaring success: "Press people are overrating the success of my games. It is something I never want. Please give me peace," he said.
So I guess Jrod's question is, if you still have the app is it still going to work?? So far this morning it has, but does this mean that eventually the app will just start working?? Ugg, comment below if you can help.
