Frye Festival Getting Hit With A $100 Million Class Action Suit

The founders of the ill-fated Fyre Festival, Ja Rule and tech entrepreneur Billy McFarland, are being sued for $100 million in a potential class-action lawsuit from attendees. Ticketholders paid anywhere from $1,000 to $125,000 to attend the festival in the Bahamas, but when they arrived they found that the luxury accommodations they were promised looked more like a refugee camp. Headliners quickly started dropping out and the entire festival was canceled. Celebrity lawyer Mark Geragos has filed a lawsuit on behalf of festival attendee Daniel Jung, who's asking for $5 million in damages “for alleged fraud, breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and negligent misrepresentation.” It is anticipated that 150 plaintiffs will join the suit and a minimum of $100 million is being sought.
