"Forbes" has come out with their 30 Under 30 lists, and among those on their music radar is Avicii, Zedd, and Calvin Harris. The list highlights the "brightest stars" in their respective fields, and the publication goes as far as describing their young honorees as "prodigies re-inventing the world."
Last year (2013) brought much success to many dance music artists, but Avicii, Zedd, and Calvin Harris all accomplished some major milestones.
At only 24 years old, Avicii continues to be one of the biggest names in dance music. His cross-over hit "Wake Me Up" has dominated the airwaves, and he finally released his debut album True. The producer/DJ also continues to be very busy on the road, playing at the biggest festivals and clubs in the world.
Zedd, also 24, has had many hit singles not only in dance music but on pop radio, including "Clarity" - which was just nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. Last year, he performed the song with singer Foxes on "The Late Show with David Letterman." Zedd also contributed to Lady Gaga's latest album ARTPOP, and teamed up with Paramore's Hayley Williams on his latest popular single "Stay The Night."
With top-notch residencies, including Las Vegas' newest dance paradise Hakkasan, and chart-topping hits including songs for pop stars like Rihanna - at 29, Calvin Harris' talent continues to shine in the dance music industry and beyond. His last album, 18 Months, was released back in October 2012, however this year he broke Michael Jackson's chart record in the UK, and now holds the title for most top 10 singles from a single album. He is also Grammy-nominated this year for his single "Sweet Nothing" featuring Florence Welch.
Congratulations to all!
